STATEMENT: My work is inspired by the notion: “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” (Aristotle). This implies that something (e.g. a corporation, hospital, hotel, etc) is stronger when individuals come together as a team in order to achieve common goals and objectives. With that sentiment in mind, my assemblages are composed of often hundreds of separate elements that come together to create sculptural works of art which metaphorically emphasize the importance of community, cooperation, and team work.
